She hires a professional hunter and native trackers to help her. They uncover a poaching operation dealing with bushmeat (meat of endangered animals). The story turns to a struggle of survival and a rescue mission to save the scientists. A love interest developes between the woman and the hunter as a rift develops between her and one of the trackers, who discovers that his young sons are working for the poacher.
