Rain Hudson was sent to England to pursue her Education at a Prestigous school of the performing arts.There she met her father who was a teacher at a local university and his family. Her father was happy to invite Rain to his home and acknowleged her as his daughter. Rain lived with her Grandaunt and Granduncle at their estate.She served as there maid and lived under their strict rule. Rain found out that her aunt and uncle had lost a daughter to a heart disease and the maid was pregnant with her uncle's baby. After hearing news about her beloved grandmother's death, she returned back home for the funeral.She was told that her Grandmother has left her with almost all of her possessions. Her conniving Aunt Victoria told everybody about her mother's affair with a black man and about Rain being Megan's daughter. After the funeral she was left in the big Hudson Mansion with no one. Everyone knew about Rain except her half brother and sister. Her half brother liked Rain and often visited her in his Grandma's Place. One day, after the funeral he came to the house. He was riding in his new car and tried so hard to impress Rain. He bought them Chinese and a six pack of beer. After drinking all the beers, he asked Rain if he wanted to go out with him. He tried to kiss Rain but slapped him on the face. Angry and filled with rage, he drove fast out of the estate. Moments later Rain recieved a call that his brother had died of an accident.Rain was all alone in the mansion while her mother was still in shock after the accident.His Chafeur Jake was the only one who was close to him. One day he took Rain to see his horse. Rain rode the horse everyday until one day when she had an accident. She was thrown from the back of the horse and became Paralysed. Rain became helpless with only her Aunt Victoria. Her aunt hired a Physical Therapist to help Rain's progress. The Therapist turned out to be Rain's age.

Rain leaves England to go back to Virginia for her grandmother's funeral, the only person in the Hudson family that Rain was close to and cared for. She finds out she was left a substantial amount of money and fifty-one percent of her grandmothers grand house. Rain's Aunt Victoria is more than unhappy about this and tries every way possible to manipulate Rain into accepting a smaller amount of money and a way out of the family that doesn't accept her. Rain doesn't go for it knowing that her grandmother didn't want it that way. Rain ends up wheelchair bound and falls in love with the therapist her Aunt set her up with. Aunt Victoria isn't happy with this either and tries desperately to keep them apart. She moves into the house against Rains wishes and keeps her prisoner. All ends well when her lover comes to her rescue but not before she experience the demented wrath of her Aunt Victoria who has truly lost her mind.
