A normal women's life is turned upside down when she is turned into a vampyre against her will and declared the 'Chosen One' they have all been waiting for. Vampyres don't exist. At least, that's what Astrid thought until she was turned into one and forced to take a crash course in the mythological. While her life is being turned on its head she is gaining new friends in her foul-mouthed angle guardian Pam, fairy trainer ‘the Kev', and meeting her possible destined mate Ethan. Astrid's unusual lineage and powerful friends mark the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy that destined her to save the King of Vampyres. It's all she can do to hold onto her sanity. Astrid continually struggles with the discovery of new family members, emerging powers stronger than normal for a newly turned Vampyre, and an undeniable attraction to the Vampyre prince Ethan. Once she accepts her destiny and admits her love to Ethan, her path becomes clear and the Rogue Vampyres don't stand a chance.

Best part of story, including ending:
I didn't care so much for the inner dialogue Astrid has.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was the moment Astrid realizes that Pam, her angle guardian, is more of a mother to her than her real mother was.
Opinion about the main character:
I disliked Astrid's lack of deep thought and self centered nature.
