Following her death, her son Giles wants to publish her letters and diaries. He hires Roz Howard, an associate professor at Vassar, to compile the book. Shortly after her arrival at Montford Abbey, Roz realizes that someone there does not want past secrets to be revealed and will do anything, including murder, to keep the book from being published.
