Eventually, she figures out his problem and finds a way to have him sold, in a claiming barrel race. However, her rich neighboring rancher is interested in buying him for the highest price. Absolutely refusing to let him be sold to someone like him, she searches stubbornly for a good buyer. She then comes up with the perfect owner, and if the horse's bad luck streak is really gone, he'll have a happy life.
