Land of the Blind Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Land of the Blind

In the middle of the 21st century, world war necessitated the melding of man and machine via an advanced microcomputer placed in the brain of Marshall Fox, later to be known as the Adventurer. Using his newfound abilities, he quickly turned the tide of war in favor of the United Nations. But, soon after the war's end, he became an even bigger threat. Surrounded by rumors that became legend, the Adventurer became so hated that the nations of the world conspired and lured him into a trap of deadly radiation. His body was sealed up, never to plague the world again.

Now, 50 years later, a race is on for what may be a modern-day Pandora's box. Teams of bounty hunters, government commandos and mercenaries are after the microcomputer from Fox's brain. For some, the motive is justice in a world on the brink of another world war. For others, it is power should war become necessary.
