Garde, mon fils...careful, boy! Was Remi Beaulieux's first impression. Muse was exactly his type. And after some hot, stolen kisses from the dark and dangerous FBI agent with the Cajun drawl, making love with Muse seems an eventual certitude. But the FBI Agent's job is to keep this wild one alive long enough to testify against crime boss James Davis, not indulge his own interests.
An attempt on Muses' life sends Remi and Muse into hiding in a backwater Louisiana safe house. Suddenly, Muse cannot hide her fears the way she did in the bright lights and throngs of Bourbon Street. Her body craves Remi's passionate caress ... to a point.
Remi certainly didn't expect this. One minute Muse seems hot and willing, then the next she's trembling and terrified in his arms! Mon Dieu! It's enough to drive a man crazy.
When rumors about a corrupt cop threatens the safety of her twin sister, and Muse is desperate to get back to New Orleans, no matter how dangerous it is. But that isn't in Remi's plans ... but then neither was falling in love with Muse.
