The Sharpest Edge Book Summary and Study Guide

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Sharpest Edge

Kim Collins is being stalked by her sister's ex-husband, Jimmy, who vowed to kill them both when he gets out of prison. She comes back to her home town in Maine to hide and see her father who had recently been in a boating accident and is now in a coma. There she runs into her ex-fiance and love of her life, Sean Templeton. Sean is back from the Army, looking all hot and toned and sexy as a small town policeman, yet she attempts to keep her old feelings from resurfacing as strange things begin to happen; knives showing up in her bed and sticking out of trees near her house.

They both fear that Jimmy is in town to get his revenge on her for putting him in prison for beating his wife...her sister. Her best friend, Alan, shows up from Los Angeles and it seems that he's jealous, causing Sean to get suspicious. While in town, she deals with her family issues and finds out that her father's accident, was not an accident after all.
When Jimmy turns up dead and crammed into a dumpster, they find out that her best friend Alan is actually his brother. Convinced it is over, Sean and Kim rekindle their love and begin to hope for a future.
