Morgan posts on 1/7/2008 5:13:35 PM Dear Mr. Clements I love your book The Landry News. It inspired me to do my own school newspaper. It's called Bobcat Topics. I write the paper with my friends. When I asked my teacher if I could start one she said that was a wonderful idea. I used some of your parts like "From the Editors". When we have our first edition completed, it will all be thanks to you. I thank you so much. I can't wait until you write another book. So here's a BIG thanks and I love all your books!!!!!!!!!

K Bargeloh posts on 12/18/2007 11:44:22 AM I just finished reading School Story. LOVED IT! One copy will be going in our school library very soon. The events that happen in your story really hit too close to home with our school. I bought to copies and gave them to our own "Natelia" and "Zoe" to read over winter break. Our group went through some of the same things in writing The Cat Has Class.

Dawn Oaks posts on 10/6/2007 10:19:31 PM Mr. Clements, I have a 10 year old daughter who will have a birthday this Wednesday. She is an avid reader who can consume a 500 page novel in a week. She has developed an interest in writing her own books and has found an inspiration in your character, Natalie, from the School Story. She has started researching ways of getting her writing published. I know that you must be incredibly busy, but if there was anyway to reply to her with any encouragement for her love of writing, I would greatly appreciate it. Any words of wisdom on forums to get young writers work published would also be a blessing. Thank you so much, Dawn Oaks
Hazel Hong (¬x¬ü´f) posts on 8/12/2007 10:31:53 AM Dear Mr. Clements: Last year, I read an introduction of "The Report Card" on the biggest children's daily newspaper in Taiwan. I was attracted by the introduction and it also mentioned there is no Complex Chinese Character edition of this book, then I asked friend whom live in USA to buy this book for me. I have 3 kids, I try to tell them about this book, they like it very much! Later, I ask my friend buy your other books for me¡XFrindle, A week in the woods and The School Story, I have 4 of your books. It¡¦s not easy to buy your book in Taiwan. And since your books are written in English, most of parents and children can not read it here! One professor who is famous of caring about children¡¦s education in Taiwan (she have been a professor in California University for several years), I told her about this book "The Report Card" and asked her if it suit for being published in Complex Chinese Character edition in Taiwan, she replied me as below: I have finished reading your manuscript. You did a good job. I think you should have no problem to find publishing company to publish this book. When you do, please let me know. I can put in good words for you so elementary school teachers will know there is a good book coming out. Good luck on your next translating job. She is an expert not only on her research but also a perfect translator; most of Michael Crichton¡¦s books here were translated by her! As she replied me as above then I would have confidence I won¡¦t ruin your book. I found there were many other languages edition around the word, like Frindle: Poland, Germany, UK, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Portugal, Spain, Basque, even soon in Thai and polish, but no Taiwan! I really hope there are Complex Chinese Character edition of your books in Taiwan! Yuan-Liou Publishing Co.,Ltd , one of the biggest publishing company here, is interested in publishing "The Report Card" (because I translated this book first). Now their copyright department is going to get the permission of the Chinese translation copyright, do you think it is possible that Chinese edition of your books show here? I hope we can get a good answer, thank you! Sincerely, Hazel Hong ( ¬x¬ü´f )
