starexplorer posts on 12/15/2007 12:30:59 AM You are absolutely right David J. And that visit remains at the top of my list. When I have data to report, you will be the first to know. I hope you are enjoying the reading.
DAVID J posts on 12/14/2007 11:26:35 PM To starexplorer; On 04/20/2007, you posted. The next time I go to Florida, I'll go on a pilgrimage to David R. Palmer's house. What happened?!
Grant Phillips posts on 12/14/2007 2:15:26 PM Does anyone know if either of the two books he supposedly has finished is a sequel or companion to Threshold?

Wes Whitley posts on 12/13/2007 11:27:07 PM Direct word from an established writer is that David has two novels finished that he is looking for a publisher for, and plans to do a sequel for Emergence. This was as of the first of the year. Not sure what the hold up is.
DAVID J posts on 11/10/2007 3:36:33 PM Poor Sparkpaw,She must have got lost and stumbled onto our website. Don't get mad, pity her.
Mykl Carlton posts on 11/5/2007 5:24:22 PM Sparkpaw - WTF!?! Go spam up somewhere else! Just re-reading some early Niven. Someone wanna suggest why the Known Space material hasn't been filmed?
Sparkpaw(rogue she) posts on 11/4/2007 4:57:05 PM A news report from HP #5: SIRIUS- BLACK AS HE'S PAINTED? NOTORIUS MASS MURDERER OR INNOCENT SINGING SENSTAION?; For fourteen years Sirius Black has been believed guilty of the mass murder of twleve innocent muggles and one wizard. Black's audacious escape from Azkaban two years ago has led to the widest manhunt ever conducted by the Ministrey of Magic. None of us has ever questioned that he deserves to be re-captured and handed back to the dementors. BUT DOES HE? Startling new evidence has recently come to light that Sirius Black may not have commited the crimes for which he was sent to Azkaban. In fact, says Doris Purkiss, of 18 Acanthia Way, Little Norton, Black may not even have been present at these killings. "What people dont realize is that Sirius Black is a false name," say Mrs. Purkiss. "The man people believe to be Sirius Black is actually Stubby Boardman , lead singer of the popular singing group The Hobgoblins, who retired from public life after being struck in the ear by a turnip at a concert in Little Norton Church Hall nearly fifteen years ago. I recognized his picture in the paper. Now, Stubby couldn't possibly have commited thos crimes, because on the day in question he happened to be enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner with me. I have written to the Minister of Magic and am expecting him to give Stubby, alais Sirius, a full pardon any day now."; End of part one: Harry finished reading the page and stared at the page in disbelief. Perhaps it was a joke, he thought, perhaps the magizine often printed spoof items. He flicked back a few pages and found the piece on Fudge; Part two Article on fudge; Cornelius Fudge, The minister of Magic denied that he had any planse to take over the running of the Wizarding Bank, Gringotts, when he was elected Minister of Magic five years ago. Fudge has always insisted that he want nothing more than to"cooperate peacefull" with the guardines of our gold. BUT DOES HE? Sources close to the Minister have recently disclosed that Fudge's dearest ambition is to sieze control of the goblin gold supplies and that he will not hesitate to use force if need be. "It wouldn't be the first time, either," said a ministrey insider. "Cornelius 'Goblin Crusher' Fudge, thats what his friends call him, if you could hear him when he thinks no ones listining, oh, he's always talking abouyt the goblins he's had done in; he's had them drowned, he's had them poisned, he's had them cooked in pies..." End of article. Harry did not read any further. Fudge might have many faultsa but Harry found it hard to believe him ordering goblins to be cooked in pies. All done thank you for reading the Quibbler wizarding magizine published and printed by Xenophilius Lovegood Luna Lovegood's father.
starexplorer posts on 11/4/2007 4:11:03 PM Glad you liked Snow Crash. It is hard to know the best things to recommend, because I really don't know your taste. I assume you have read the classic DUNE by Frank Herbert. You might try the very old but classic and entertaining SLAN by A E Van Vogt if you haven't read it. If you want first rate sophisticated Space Opera/Politics and are willing to put in the effort, there is nothing better than DOWNBELOW STATION by C J Cherryh. If you are not familiar with Poul Anderson, all his SF is very good. You might try TRADER TO THE STARS or for a more Earth-based immortality tale, I like THE BOAT OF A MILLION YEARS. Good luck!
DAVID J posts on 11/4/2007 8:53:03 AM I just wanted to say thanks for telling me about Snow Crash. Any other books you want to tell me about? Most importantly, Is there any new news about David R. Palmer?
barba posts on 9/30/2007 6:26:42 PM Great to find other fans of David Palmer, I've been trying to find out if there are any other books besides Emergence and Threshold for years, hope the sequel to Threshold will come out before too long
