Julieswan posts on 2/3/2006 10:50:34 AM I thought it was going to be two trilogies too, but in Outlandish, there is an exerpt that is a battle scene, I am assuming American Revolution, wherein Claire amputates Jamie's finger. He says it always gets broken because it sticks out and he would be better off without it. So now I think there will be a 7th book.
Brenda Maddron posts on 2/3/2006 10:45:13 AM I thought it was Frank who saw the ghostly scot gazing up at Claire when she was brushing her hair and told her about it, that Claire herself didn't see the 'ghost'.
Paula posts on 1/31/2006 12:17:33 PM I love Jamie, he is so handsome. I wish I were Claire

Marguerite posts on 1/30/2006 5:11:18 PM My understanding was that this was the sixth and the last book. She made it a double trilogy because she couldn't get it finished in one trilogy. There was a passing mention of Jamie seeing Claire in a room with electricity as he knew it wasn't a candle. Claire didn't seem to 'connect' that she, too, saw a Scot very long ago before passing through the stones, looking up at her as she was brushing her hair. She didn't seem to recognize him as the Scot she saw when she passed the first time and met and married Jamie. One would think that something that sureal would stick with one for a very long time and then when Jamie brought it up to her in the sixth book, Claire didn't acknowledge that she had seen him also. Rather a disapointment, as that was one of the reasons that I started to follow this family. But you say that there will be a seventh book and possibly more? Hope I don't have to wait another four years, though there is a lot involved with writing.
K.F posts on 1/30/2006 12:01:39 PM I was at one of Diana's tour lecture locations this summer at the scottish games and she spoke about this. A man asked if we would find out what Jamie was doing there and she told us we would be not till the last book ( and that wasn't the last book she said). I have a feeling that the story of bree and roger will just continue like it did in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th books when they were in different times she'll just jump back and forth.
Marguerite posts on 1/30/2006 9:50:49 AM The first book had Claire seeing a 'ghost' of Jamie of sorts, I have been waiting for either one of them (Claire or Jamie) to talk about that, or aknowledge it, that Jamie does have some bit of fay, (seeing into the furture). Diana gave a short paragraph close to the end. Wish it would have been more then just a passing comment. Other then that, I hope she will start a new series with Roger, Bre, and the children. Methinks she may, since the box that they opened had Jemmy's name inscribed on it. (I would think that it was Jemmy's name). He may go back to see his grandda. I love the lives of this family and hope that Diana will continue their story.
coppersmom posts on 1/27/2006 6:33:09 PM After she kens the time has come for Jamie and Claire to part - which I hope is not for at least a few more books - I hope she does a book about Jamie's parents.
candace gallagher posts on 1/25/2006 8:42:33 PM I am the biggest fan of these books. I love the way Diana Gabaldon writes with such passion. I have read all of her books at least five times each- just in case I have missed something-. I recomend these books to everyone that I know that loves to read. All of my friends know that she is my fav author and when ever they see any new books on her they get them for me. All I have to say is that these are the best books that I have seen. Thank you Diana for all of fun and emotional reads.
