G.A. McKevett Message Board

posts on 8/19/2006 3:12:11 PM I have never been able to find an author that I just love until I read Just Desserts. Then I knew I would love all of your books. They are the kind that once you start you dont want to be bothered because you cant put it down. Keep up with the good work and let me know if you ever come to Middle Tennessee.
posts on 8/18/2006 1:44:17 PM Dear Melanie, Leigh Ann, Lindsay, and Ashley, Thank you for checking in to say, "Hi." And of course, it makes an author feel great to hear such glowing compliments. Being a writer is a little strange. Like an actor or singer, we have fans and an audience, but unlike live performers, we seldom see them face to face. We don't hear the applause. It's lovely when numbers on a royalty statement "come alive" in letters from your fans. I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out. Many thanks and best wishes, Sonja (G. A. McKevett)
posts on 8/15/2006 12:35:56 AM Dear Della, I agree completely. I'd love to see Savannah on the screen. Does anybody know Bette Midler? I think she'd be a great Savannah, if she didn't mind putting on a little weight. :) What do you guys think? Who would you cast as the main characters if the series went to film? And Della, I'd be happy to write more Savannahs, but one a year is all most publishers will allow of a series. But thanks for suggesting it. All the best, Sonja (G.A. McKevett)

posts on 8/13/2006 2:59:41 PM Please keep writing more books I have read the first Just Deserts, Bitter Sweets and I am about to finish Cooked Goose (no one around here has Killer Calories). I just cant stop reading them. I cant wait to start reading Sugar and Spite.
posts on 8/13/2006 1:36:01 AM Mary! Hi! So nice to see you pop up here on my message board. Apparently, you're a bit of detective yourself, tracking me down. :) I really enjoyed meeting you, too, at the library. I've been meaning to revisit, but have been really busy with family obligations this past week or so. But I'll be back for sure. You ladies gave me the warmest welcome. :) I'd love to talk to your daughter about her group. Again, thanks for checking in. Sonja Massie (G. A. McKevett)

posts on 8/6/2006 8:54:46 AM Please see if your Savannah series can be made into a movie. I would love to see tv series or movies about her. I love your books and am always checking book stores for the very lastest book. Could you possibly write several books a year. Keep up the good work.
posts on 8/4/2006 11:42:54 PM Hi, I met you in the library last night. It was so nice to meet you. I feel like I always knew you. (an awful lot in common, my mother came from Ireland) Much Irish history in common plus I know someone else who might know you from california. (Another writer in the family) I would love to talk with you again. My daughter heads a book discussion in another local library and feels you would be perfect for it. jShe would love to have you there.
