Make sure you read Livia's last book, Hello America. It just came out a few months ago. I have had contact with Livia within the last month. She had some health issues that have hopefully been corrected. She will be back in the states soon.

I read the Book "I have lived a thousand Years" and now I am reading "My bridges of Hope: Searching for life and love after Aushwitz". I think these books were amazing and look forward to reading more.

I am waiting to hear back from Livia. I emailed her for her birthday. When I hear from her I will direct her to the message board. I have emailed questions from my students to her in the past. She always answered each question. As soon as I hear from her I'll let you know.

Hello, My name is ashley and we are studying the Hollocaust and its Literature in class. We were asked to pick a book and do a book talk about it. I choose "I have lived a thousand years" by Livia Bitton-Jackson and would like to know what you think are the most shocking and memorable parts of the book. If you also could please list the parts you could relate to in your every day life. This research would really help me to express how others are feeling. Thanks!

Dear Ms. Benner,
I teach I Have Lived A Thousand Years to my seventh grade literature classes. I would love to have them write to Mrs. Jackson. If you know where I would be able to send letters, would you please let me know? Even if it is to the college where she teaches.
I do a Holocaust unit with my students every year. Your help would be very much appreciated. I am looking forward to reading her latest book.

Hello Mary,
We called her Mrs. Bitton when we wre her Hebrew langage students in the 1960's. My best friend, Bill Lomp (whom I met in her class) and I speak of her often.
We are in our sixties and are both retired NYC teachers.
It would be wonderful to say hello to Prof. Bitton-Jackson and to wish her well. thank you for your generous offer

I email Livia. I am protective of her and I do not give out her email address, however if you send me your email address,I will pass it on to her and if she would like to contact you, I'm sure she will.

Livia lives part of the year in New York City where she teaches at a University. The other part of the year she and her husband live in the Middle East. Her newest book Hello America is wonderful. I highly recommend reading it.
