This movie features a woman with one change of underwear who apparently never leaves her apartment, (Cin, played by Susie Porter) and a bloke who looks better in a wedding dress than I ever did (Josh, played by David Wenham). Plus a mystic cab driver with nothing better to do than hang around waiting for them. And they don't eat in three days.

But leaving aside the practicalities - the movie. It's billed as "three days in the life of a one night stand", and the basic premise is, can a couple who like each other actually manage to leave it as just a one night stand, or might the dread "L" word intrude? They meet at a party, share a cab home, she invites him in, the inevitable happens, but could it be something more than just "L" for lust?
Lots of fun sex, lots of comments on men and women, (if a little clichéd), and a happy ending, and it never takes itself too seriously. Not a great work of art, but mildly erotic and very funny in places. When Cin discovers a woman's photo in Josh's wallet, I was horribly afraid we'd get an explanation of the "love of my life killed in a tragic auto wreck" variety. Instead we get a quite refreshing "she messed me about so I moved to London" line. Real life. Mundane but real.
David Wenham does "bemused everyman" to perfection, and is obviously an actor of huge range, even if it does come as a slight shock to hear his true accent - Australian - after seeing him in Lord of the Rings. Susie Porter is both vulnerable and tough as needed. They look like real people, and seem just as dim-witted as the rest of us.
