Sidney and Dre have been longtime friends who never thought about a romantic relationship when they were younger. Now Dre is a big-time executive at a hip-hop record company. Sidney's sister (Queen Latifah) is about the only one who believes that romance could happen, and so she tries to play matchmaker to her and Dre. This is a heartwarming romantic comedy for those who may have missed out on several opportunities at real love.

Sidney (Sanaa Lathan) and Dre(Taye Diggs) are longtime friends who are meant to be together if only they knew this. Although they have unbelievably bad timing in the romance department the audience is allow to watch as they come to terms with what Sidney's wise and funny cousin Francine (Queen Latifah) already knows...they were meant to be together. As they sort out their hearts and minds the audience is treated to non-stop laughter as Dre comes to term with his relationship with hip hop and Sidney after she becomes engaged to Kelby.
