This is an animated musical story in which cats who are living well, if not meagerly in the country discuss living the highlife in Paris. Mewsette, the beautiful housecat, has been dreaming of a better life and decides to take her chances, leaving behind her beau Jaune Tom, the championship mouser, and Robespierre, his sidekick. She falls into the clutches of the evil Meowrice. Jaune Tom and Robespierre set off to Paris to rescue Mewsette.
