Gunmen stars Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City, Jaws: The Revenge) as DEA agent Cole Parker. The movie opens up with Loomis (Patrick Stewart) burying alive a woman as he discusses his lost fortune with Armor O'Malley (Dennis Leary). Loomis wants his four-hundred million dollars back and offers O'Malley ten percent if he can find it.

Meanwhile, Dani Servigo (Christopher Lambert) is sitting in a South American jail. His brother Carlos stole the money from Loomis and told him that it's hidden in a boat in Mexico. The only problem is Dani doesnt know which boat.
Parker, on the other hand, was a friend of Carlos and he was told the name of the boat but he doesn't know where it is. Parker breaks Dani out of the jail in an effort to find out the location of the boat but Dani and Cole arent getting along. O'Malley send out a crew to find Cole and Dani in the jungle, where they are eventually found. O'Malley tries to ascertain the location of the boat as he has Dani hung upside down from a helicopter. O'Malley then goes back to Loomis and explains to him how Dani died when he didn't. O'malley gets Loomis's crew to turn on him and he then is buried alive. Now, O'Malley can search for the money and keep it all. Dani, Cole, and O'Malley's crew eventually get down to Mexico where the boat is. It's then a fight to the death as all parties want the four-hundred million dollar prize.
