The television show is a absolute failure according to his review but as a critic he is getting rave reviews for his opinion. While this may look like a bright start for the new critic, wife Katie wants to move the family and their four monstorous children to the country for a much quieter and settled life, which can be for the best for their rowdy sons. This poses a problem for Lawrence as he have to commute daily between the city and country but easily chooses the city to stay commited with his job.
After his frank review of North's show it leaves North unhappy, considering Lawrence was once a good friend to him but devastation to the demanding Vaughn who orders Lawrence to correct his opinions on her acting ability. But the family man seems to spend more time with Vaughn than his wife out with her at late night parties-not that he is doing anything that could jeopardize their marriage but Katie think otherwise. With marital problems under surface and Katie suspecting infidelity on Lawrence's part while Vaughn seductively tries to sway Lawrence views of her show for a more positive one.
