SWEET HOME ALABAMA is a movie directed by Andy Tennant in 2002.
Melanie Carmichael is the new popular designer in NYC. Seven years ago, she left Greenville, Alabama and never came back home. Now, Andrew Hennings, the only son of the NYC Mayor Kate Hennings, has just proposed her. Melanie goes back home to settle an important matter: her divorce. Jake Perry, her husband and first love, has never found the time to sign the divorce papers.

During a whole week, Melanie will rediscover the people of Greenville and ask herself whether she's made the right choice by leaving her hometown and Jake who never stopped loving her during all these years. In order to become worthy of her, he's even become a small businessman owning a glass-house. Melanie must now take a decision because Andrew has just accepted to organize their marriage in Greenville and also because the whole town would like her to come back to Jake Perry.
