THE FOG is a movie cowritten and directed by John Carpenter in 1980.

Antonio Bay is on the verge of celebrating its 100th anniversary. But a hundred years ago, its founders have committed a terrible act. They stole the fortune of Blake, a leprous, while sending him and his five sick companions to sea and a sure death. Blake will come back, surroundered by a strange glowing fog, in order to search for his money. He won't give up until he has killed six members of the Antonio Bay community.
