Even though Ralph relies on many get-rich-quick schemes, they have managed to save some money.

Along with their best friends Ed (Epps) and Trixie (Hall) Norton, they are just short of enough money for a down payment on a Brooklyn duplex.

Everything goes downhill when Ralph decides to impress Alice by useing all of their savings with another of his crazy ideas.

He ends up losing all their cash, but most importantly his wife. With the help of Ed, Ralph does whatever it takes to try to win back the love of his life.
