What Happens In Vegas is an award-winning romantic comedy that tells the story of two young adults who met as a result of a double booking at a Las Vegas hotel. Jack Fuller is played by Ashton Kutcher, and Joy Ellis McNally is played by Cameron Diaz. Using coupons from the hotel mix-up, Jack and Joy, along with their friends, spend a night on the Vegas Strip. They end up getting married. After they are married, Joy gave Jack a quarter and he put it into a slot machine and won three million dollars. Joy reminds him that half of that money is hers since they're now married.

The next day, Jack and Joy realize they got married and are horrified. When they return home to New York, they see a judge about getting a divorce. The judge tells them that they must live together for six months, and see a marriage counselor once a week. If they can live together for six months and then they still want a divorce, the judge will give each person half of the winnings. But they must prove they are really trying to be successfully married. If either of them don't cooperation, then they won't get any money because the judge will tie it up in litigation.
The laughter ensues as Jack and Joy, who now hate each other, try to get the other one to default on their promise to try and work things out. But as time goes by, they both realize that maybe they do have feelings for each other. Just as Joy is heading into court to find out if she and Jack can divorce and split the money, she runs into her ex. She learns Jack tried to sabotage her and she gets very upset. There is one last issue that Jack and Joy must work through in order to be happy and get the money they won.
Best part of story, including ending:
I enjoyed this film because it's so funny. The different schemes Jack and Joy come up with to undermine each other are hilarious. While the whole story is a little far-fetched, it's nice to sit down and have a few belly laughs while watching a good movie with a happy ending.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene in What Happens In Vegas has got to be when Jack and Joy watched their wedding video. They were so drunk and silly that you had to laugh through it all. Even though I don't condone getting drunk, that scene was really funny.
Opinion about the main character:
As the main character, Jack is a caring guy who got swept up in an emotional rollercoaster after learning he got married after a night of binge drinking. And even though he doesn't get along well with his father, he still has motivation to be a successful adult. After his dad fires him from the family construction business, Jack starts his own business.
