Paul Newman is an american physicist invited to a scientific congress in Denmark. He suddenly defects to East Germany, secretly followed by his colleague and lover Julie Andrews. Newman's intention is to approach Professor Gustav Lindt and to steal from him secret scientific information. But how Newman and Andrews will come back to the other side of the Iron Curtain ?
