A baby macaw bird named Blu who lives in Rio De Janeiro gets captured by dealers and is smuggled to the US. A truck that is transporting Blu happens to accidentally drop his box on the road. A girl by the name of Linda, finds the bird and decides to keep him and raise him up in a home filled with love. Fifteen years later, Blu becomes quite a domesticated and intelligent bird. An Ornithologist named Tulio decides to come out of the blue and visit Linda and explains to her that Blu is the last male of his species and that he has a female macaw named Jewel that lives in Rio de Janeiro. He invites Linda to bring Blu along to Rio to meet Jewel so they can both save their species. Linda accepts the invitation and travels along with the ornithologist Tulio and leave Blu and Jewel in a large cage in the institute where Tulio works. Blu and Jewel spend their time adjusting to each other and while doing so smugglers break into the institute and steal Blu and Jewel to sell them.

Best part of story, including ending:
What I love about the movie is how happy it makes you feel. The animation is beautiful and the story keeps you engaged.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene would have to be when Beblu,Rafael,Nico,Pedro, and Jewel are in a mini electric train on the way to Luiz's garage.
Opinion about the main character:
What I enjoy about the main character Blu is how he overcomes his fears and how he was able to end up with the woman of his dreams Jewel.
