Sabrina and Jason are about to get married and are staying at Sabrina's well-appointed mansion with Jason's less than sophisticated family. Jason's mom Pam doesn't like Sabrina, or her family, and isn't afraid to show it. As the entourages of both parties stay at the house, their different backgrounds crash. Sabrina's mom Claudine is uppity, and at one time rubs in her affluence by speaking fluent French in front of Jason's family. When Pam overhears Claudine and her sister Geneva talking, she learns that Geneva is really Sabrina's mom. She gave Sabrina up after a French fling and gave her to Claudine and her husband to raise her as their own. Meanwhile, Sabrina is feeling her future mother-in-law's displeasure, causing a riff between her and Jason. At a fitting, Sabrina learns the truth about her real mom because of Pam's prodding and is so upset, she drives away, wanting to cancel the wedding. Jason confronts his mom for her foolishness. And Geneva talks to Sabrina to explain. Pam, guilty, makes amends with Sabrina. The wedding pushes through, and everyone celebrates their new family.

Best part of story, including ending:
It's a story with a lot of characters getting involved in many aspects of the movie.
Best scene in story:
When the mothers try to outdo each other.
Opinion about the main character:
Sabrina is the poor bride caught in the middle of two extremely different groups of people, it's no wonder she gets cold feet.
