Exit to Eden Movie Review Summary

Actors: Rosie O'Donnell, Dan Aykroyd, Paul Mercucio, Dana Delaney

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Exit to Eden

Elliott is a kinky photographer who inadvertently photographs a jewel thief who trails him to his fantasy vacation on a BDSM-themed island resort. Elliott Slater is an insecure photographer who has a penchant for kinky BSDM-style sex. In an attempt at self-reconciliation, Elliott books himself a spot on an island resort called "Eden" catering to those who crave for their kinky sexual fantasies to be fulfilled. Before he leaves on this adventure, Elliott unwittingly photographs a jewel thief of some particular note, named Omar. Apparently, no other photographs of Omar exist, and it is of sufficient importance to the thief that he and his partner Nina follow Elliott to Eden in hopes of recovering the picture.

Word of the theives' presence on the island draws in undercover police Sheila Kingston and Fred Lavery, played by Rosie O'Donnell and Dan Aykroyd (yes, both appear onscreen in bondage gear). The pair charade as kinky resort goers in their pursuit of the criminals.
Shortly after arriving on the island, Elliot becomes the personal submissive of the boss of the island, dominatrix Mistress Lisa Emerson. As he submits to various submissive sex acts involving, for example, butter, cinnamon, and his naked hindquarters, the two fall in love. As the couple continues to fall for each other and Lisa gradually admits her feelings, their bliss is belied by the murderous intent of Omar who follows them all the way to New Orleans. He is finally captured by the two undercover detectives. It should be noted that any apparent plot wholes in this summary are buffered by mild BDSM sex scenes in the movie, which seems to have been the primary interest of the filmmaker.
Best part of story, including ending: It's a really bad movie and difficult to enjoy.

Best scene in story: I genuinely enjoyed seeing Rosie and Dan in these roles, knowing where they are today.

Opinion about the main character: Elliott is a terribly written and acted character. He's difficult to like or even watch.
