Matt, in his role as detective sets out to interview the remaining guests and discovers Kate and Lily are schoolmates. He urges Lily to book Eva for a private party in her family home, then shows up as Kate's date, against her druthers. Kate is still holding a grudge against him for an embarassing teenage incident.
