David Gerrold Message Board

Steve posts on 1/13/2008 11:50:25 AM Thank you, Mr. Gerrold, for finally providing an update! I am thankful to know that you are still working on it, as I am quite looking forward to getting lost in Jim's mind (as crazy as it may be) once more.
Jim posts on 10/25/2007 6:52:28 PM My mistake, it has been 15 years since the last Chtorr book, not 10. Whining indeed, does anyone actually believe that after 15 years of doing other things, i.e. books, novelettes, screenplays, movies etc., that another Chtorr novel is on its way anytime in our lifetime. If so, you must be inhaling the same stuff one of our previous commentators is.
Steve posts on 8/23/2007 10:10:55 PM I know there are a few people who have posted on this message board in the past, including DG himself, who are privy to the status of the Chtorr books. If anyone knows if DG is still working on them, I would be most appreciative if you could share the current progress, even if it is simply: He is still hard at work. I have pretty much stopped reading any sci-fi/fantasy books, and this series, along with A Song of Ice and Fire are likely my last forays into the genre. They say curiousity killed the cat, but patience hasn't helped much either...

Matt posts on 8/15/2007 9:07:23 PM So, exactly how would one get rid of those pesky Enterprise fish?
Steve posts on 8/14/2007 10:16:29 PM Patience is a virtue; expressions of frustration are a natural and sometimes healthy human reaction. No matter which side you stand on, I am sure we will ALL enjoy the alleged 5th book.
howard posts on 8/13/2007 8:22:13 AM Isn't that weird, I've found whining about the release dates for any new Chtorr book has no relation to it actually happening! Nor do I care. Someday it will happen and when it does, I won't read it, I'll inhale it. With any luck, it will be as intelligent and imaginitive as the first four. Have a great day folks. howard
Capt. Anne Harbaugh's momn posts on 8/12/2007 11:28:59 PM Martian Child is worth every bit of time to read, a true classic. Hey, give Mr. Gerrold a break. I know life gives detours and I am on one at this moment. <sigh> I'll be one of the first to order any new Chtorr novel.
Jim posts on 7/12/2007 10:49:31 PM I understand the need to earn a living. I understand the creative process. I understand the demands of time and commitments. It has been over a decade since the last Chtorr book. D.G. has not produced another because he would rather do something else. D.G. has turned his back to his Chtorr fans because finishing the books are not a priority. He has lost me as a reader, and I will not purchase anything he writes. I'm not whining, I've simply had enough.
Steve posts on 5/22/2007 8:32:04 PM I have not read the Martian Child. Just curious if it is worth a look.
Stan posts on 4/25/2007 11:55:57 PM Does anyone know what books he is going to write next? I would like to know....
