BookGirl posts a message on 11/13/2005 8:43:31 AM Just saw A Sidewalk Astronomer yesterday at the Avignon Film Festival in NYC held at Hunter College. It got a standing ovation. So moving..so eye-opening. You leave knowing Dobson..and he stays with you.
Mark posts on 10/31/2005 1:43:26 PM When I was young a friend of mine went to the movies to see "Greased Lightning" with Richard Pryor. We skipped out of that movie into the other screen. Can anyone help me with the title of this vampire movie? It scared me so bad that I ran out. (Remember I was still "PG movie" young)There was a vampire who throws a hachet into a wide open barn door it hits and kills a dog (the dog yelps) then they cut to the interior of the barn were the vampire is draining the dog. I also think that later in the movie the vampire is standing on a staircase outside a building giving a speech to a crowd of followers below. Thank you for your help.
Melissa posts on 10/28/2005 3:29:03 PM Anyone here like art history movies? Modigliani is definately a good one to check out. My roommate is interning at Universal and brought the new DVD home last night. We watched it and it was way better than either of us could have expected. Andy Garcia plays the lead, as Modigliani, Picasso's rival painter. There's a trailer and a ton of info at the movie website Has anyone seen it?
Zeekile posts on 10/11/2005 7:07:03 PM Popcorn, Pepsi, gummy bears, 3, 2, 1, action... it's movie time!
Maggie posts on 9/13/2005 7:11:54 PM I don't recall the movie making it to our neck of the woods but I shall look out for it. Glad to know you are doing OK.
Toni Riss posts a message on 9/10/2005 2:30:05 PM I am the cancer patient who was interviewed in Flight From Death. I saw you have a thread going on it and I wanted to introduce myself here. Some people are afraid to talk to me since the movie, I think they are assuming I should be dead. I am still "incurably alive" and just deal with life one day at a time. So if you have any questions of me, want to know how I got involved in the film, or just want to know about breast cancer fire away.
