Isaac Asimov Message Board

Michael Plog posts on 2/23/2015 6:50:54 AM For Sue about the "least correction" concept. Check out "The End of Eternity" and how the Eternals try to find the best change to make. Hope this helps.
Michael Plog posts on 2/20/2015 7:00:49 AM I am trying to find the book by Asimov that discussed the library and it's function and purpose. He saw it as very different than today's libraries--acting as an index of organization of knowledge rather than a warehouse of documents. Can someone point out which book that is in? I thought "Prelude to Foundation" but was wrong.
sue posts on 12/20/2014 2:25:15 PM Wondering about a remembered reference to his "principle of least correction." Remember it from his writing, but can't find any reference to it on the net. Can anyone help?

Aaron posts on 11/19/2012 5:01:15 PM If you have any respect for your readers you will remove the last couple sentences of the "Foundation and Empire" summary. You were not even considerate enough to warn of spoilers. And in the course of two small sentences you have ruined the 3rd book of the trilogy for prospective readers by blatantly spelling out the location of the second Foundation. This is a book summary for the second book in the series, not the 3rd. I don't care how relevant you thought that detail was. It was opinion, and had no place in that summary. Get your act together and have a care!

Debbie posts on 2/7/2011 1:06:54 PM Hello! the last time I read Isaac Asimov was in 2001 and there is a short story I'm trying to remember the title of- the plot: a scientist builds a robot and is too shy to tell the woman he loves that he loves her; the robot calls the woman on the phone when the scientist is not around, and arranges for the woman and scientist to go on a date. Do you have any ideas for which of his stories this may be? Thanks in advance!
Barry Jones posts on 1/20/2009 4:18:01 PM I this supposed to be a review? Reviews I'm familiar with provide a critique of the author and their material. This was just a few paragraphs about the story. Useless.
