Wow, I just found this and I think its absolutely wonderful! I just wanted to say that I adore the Pit Dragon Chronicals; I first read them when I was thirteen/fourteen and they stood out so much in my mind that I searched and search for four years and finally found them this year! As a prolific reader it is rather rare that any paricular books really stand out, but these did *grins* I'm also thrilled to hear of another book, even if it is two years away!

I just wanted to say, The Pit Dragon Chronicles is a brilliant series. I first read them in early middle school, and they have been some of my favorite books ever since. (And I'm in college now!) Your writing, Ms. Yolen, is amazing. It is so beautifully detailed that I could envision every single aspect, without feeling as if I was bogged down with narrative. And as an A.D.D. 12 year old, that was incredibly important to me at the time, hahaha. Still today, I love that I can picture the entire book in my head. I find that many people today only care about action and non stop excitement.. I adore how the plot of the books are intense, while offering an incredible amount of detail and information. I am ecstatic to hear of a new book being released! I truly cannot wait to read it, keep up the amazing work.

No movie interest. And because Eregon crashed and burned as a movie, dragons are persona non grata at the Hollywood studios right now.
Meanwhile, it looks like Spring 09 is the book date for DRAGON'S HEART.

Jane, I just found this message board, and would like to personally thank you for the pit dragon series. I first read the trilogy about 15 years ago when I was 12, and it is still my favorite book(s). I am really looking forward to "Dragon's Heart", and was wondering if there happened to be any plans for a movie series? I would love to see what Peter Jackson could do with your work.

Revision in and editor says it's terrific. (Would he lie?) Now waiting on word from the publisher as to when the book is scheduled.

Mrs Yolen, I just wanted to let you know that I love your writing. I remember watching Heart's Blood on Storybreak when I was a little girl but i couldn't remember the name. It wasn't until I bought my first computer that I could google and find your book! I am in love with the Pit Dragon series and am so happy to find out you're writing another. I also loved Briar Rose, such a very moving story. THank you so much for these books.
