Byron Followell posts on 3/11/2006 11:46:47 AM I for one have thoroughly enjoyed the "Axis of Time" trilogy so far. The only thing I hate about it is the fact that it is supposed to be a trilogy and not a series. I just hate to see it end. I mean, I guess the war would eventually end and the they can probably wrap up the story in a trilogy but that still leaves so much open for the whole Axis of Time universe/timeline. I'd love to see something continue in this universe, maybe picking up a few years down the line or something. - Byron Followell
Tommy Atkins posts on 2/9/2006 1:21:25 PM Jack, a small little moan about WoC, when JB is talking about air sea rescue he describes the winch man going into the drink after putting on his flippers and goggles, this is incorrect as anyone who's learnt to dive will tell you the equipment is called fins and a mask. This mistake cost me several beers whilst I was learning to dive so anytime I hear anyone describing it wrong I have to put them right.
Jack posts on 2/9/2006 12:21:57 AM They do that here.

I've won some converts to AoT on varied and sundry alternate history fora across the Net. The series has earned my highest recomendation and I want to do my part to boost sales so Del Rey will continue buying your books. I've also suggested they come over here and drop you a line though I see so far no one's taken me up on that.

I do appreciate your accessibility, JB. To paraphrase an ancient Chinese proverb, Heaven is high and Harry Turtledove is far away.

Daddywho posts on 1/14/2006 12:43:45 AM The last book in the trilogy,"The Last Good War" will be released some time in 2006.It deals with the effect Kolhamer's 21sts have on their grand parents time.Look forward to reading it.
Samuel Morebello posts on 1/13/2006 12:34:44 PM Really enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy,Weapons of Choice and Designated Targets and can't seem to find any info on when the final book in the trilogy will be available. Can you help? Title, release date???
Jack posts on 1/10/2006 12:51:49 AM NuForce, Colonization is three books, not two, followed by a standalone novel called Homeward Bound that, I think, isn't on par with its predecessors in and of itself, though as a part of the series it does provide a much-needed epilogue to the story.

Back to Birmingham, Book One left me wanting more but didn't really leave me hanging the way Book Two did. I finished it a month ago and have moved on to other reads but still in the back of my mind I keep wondering what will happen next in a way that I didn't while waiting for DT. Is Book Three still slated for release in December 06?

Pegleg posts on 1/2/2006 10:22:29 AM NuForce, thanks for the reccs. I ordered the first book of the WWII series. Right now, I'm re-reading Dies the Fire, by Stirling, and then will go on to the second one. He is so much fun! Pegleg is singular by the way.
NuForce posts on 12/31/2005 5:42:52 PM I agree with you PegLegs. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. This is a great story! I agree with you PegLegs. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. This is a great story! While waiting for John to release his next book you should pick up the "World War" & "Colonization" series by Harry Turtledove. It's alternate history with a twist of scifi in it. Earth is invaded by aliens right in the middle of WWII. It takes you from WWII all the way up to the near future. It's a 4 book "World War" series followed by a 2 book "Colonization" series. I recommend it highly! NuForce
Pegleg posts on 12/29/2005 4:22:15 PM I just finished book 2, after re-reading book one. Had to up my rating of book one--I had given it a "weak ending" before realizing there were more in the series. Second read was good, since there were so many characters. But I thought book read reads faster, and the characters are better developed. Even the villans are interesting. I can't wait for the "next chapter"!
