John Birmingham Message Board

Philip[ Long posts on 5/5/2005 12:50:00 PM I eagerly await the second volume. It will be interesting how the old timers take the future people. Especially how the British react. What would FDR say if they offered to cure him? The future poeple might not have the weapons to win the war but they know what is happening in Germany and The ussr. they have to use this for propaganda to peal the peasants away from the rulers; the only only other way means a total war and the destruction of a far part of the world.
Bob posts on 5/5/2005 11:01:20 AM John, Love your sense of humor in Weapons of Choice! It's a nice counterbalance to the horrific elements (of which WWII had plenty). I also appreciated your tributes to "Flint" and "Stirling"! --Bob
John Birmingham posts on 4/24/2005 12:41:43 AM Dudes. I am just checking the final edits of book 2. And am reading thru my research stack for book 3. I think del rey will release 2, called Designated Targets, in august. but you'd have to check their website to be sure. cheers jb

Anonymous posts on 4/19/2005 11:31:01 PM A question to you all: Has anyone heard anything of Book 2 of the Axis of Time? It's coming up on a year since Weapons of Choice was released, and if Birmingham is following the model of Harry Turtledove, a very similar author who uses the same publisher, we should be seeing promotional material by now. But not a peep on all the Internet, nor in my bookstore. You don't suppose Del Rey cancelled the rest of the series, do you?
