This is the story of a relationship counselor who gets into a mix up after advising a lady to break up with the fiance, who when seeking revenge falls in love with the counselor. Emma is a radio host and marriage counselor on local radio station whose advice is sought after by many couples. This includes Sophia, the Fiancée to Patrick, a fire fighter. The two are engaged and getting ready for their wedding when Sophia decides to talk to Emma first. After asking her a couple of questions, she decides that it is best for the two to break their engagement immediately. Patrick with the help of a computer guru in his neighborhood hacks Emma's information and realizes that she is engaged to a guy called Richard and that they are planning to get married soon. He decides to register a fake marriage between himself and Emma so as to make sure she doesn't get married to Richard as planned. As a result of this, their wedding is stopped and Emma is forced to hunt for Patrick and clear the air. The unexpected however happens when Patrick seems to be getting attracted to her. He however agrees to annul their fake marriage but intentionally delays the process so that he can get to know her more
The two seem to be spending more time together and at one point they are spotted in a cake shop by Richard's client who is planning to cut his business deals with Richard's company. The wife to this businessman leaks this information to Emma and she is determined to save Richard's life, though she still needs Patrick who at this time is acting Richard. Patrick manages to win this man's heart and Richard gets his client back. Emma is however uncomfortable with the developments since deep in her heart she still wants to get married to Richard. Her attempts to avoid Patrick are futile since he follows her up to her work place. They end up having a romantic moment in the elevator and unknown to them, they are being monitored. Since their relationship is now public they no longer have anything to hide.
After spending a night together, Emma realizes that Patrick has been spying on her and she now understands the whole fake marriage ordeal. After this discovery, she decides to leave him and go looking for Richard but it is a bit too late since she realizes how much she has fallen in love with Patrick. They are both having a hard time apart and as a result of this Emma officially breaks up with Richard and gets married to Patrick.
Best part of story, including ending: I like this story because it is full of humor and unexpected turn of events

Best scene in story: My favorite scene is when Patrick sends people out of an elevator so that he can have time alone with Emma. This shows that he is willing to do anything to make Emma understand what he feels for her.

Opinion about the main character: I like the fact that Emma is still willing to face Richard and apologize after everything that has transpired between them.
