Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Grudge 2

An American goes to Japan to visit her sister who was traumatized by an angry ghost. Aubrey is asked by her mother to go to Japan to see to it that her sister Karen is ok. Karen almost died from a house fire and is now in a state of shock. Aubrey sees her at the hospital and asks her what happened. Karen only warns her "not to go into the house." A reporter who's there tells Aubrey the events that led to the accident and finds out about the vengeful ghosts. As she leaves the hospital, Karen is haunted by Kayako, the woman killed by her husband in the house, and Karen falls off the hospital roof and dies on the pavement. Aubrey and the reporter start researching about Kayako's past and learn that she had a mother who dabbled in the supernatural. The reporter and Aubrey soon become chased by Kayako and her son Toshio, appearing in strange visions, and basically scaring them. The reporter is killed by Kayako who surfaces from a photograph. Aubrey goes to Kayako's provincial home to visit her mother to look for answers, unknowingly "bringing" Kayako with her, Kayako then kills her own mother. She goes back to the house, and sees a vision of what actually happened the night of the murders. Meanwhile, in another part of Tokyo, two high school girls Vanessa and Miyuki play a prank on Allison and dare her to come with them to the haunted house. After Allison is locked in the same closet where one of the bodies was hidden, the girls are haunted by an evil force and they run out terrified. Days later, each girl see Kayako and Toshio, and think they are going mad. Miyuki is taken inside a hotel, Vanessa is engulfed by Kayako's hair, while Allison is frightened by the ghosts of Kayako's victims. In Chicago, a young married couple with a daughter and son are disturbed with the odd behavior of their neighbors, one of them a kid shrouded in a hoodie. History repeats itself, the young married couple, like the occupants of the cursed house in Japan, fight because of jealousy, and end up dead. Their daughter is killed too. The son, sees his neighbor in the hoodie and learns that it is Allison, who brought with her the curse from Japan.

Best part of story, including ending: I didn't like it so much because it was a poor continuation of the first movie. It was predictable in that you know that everybody will eventually die.

Best scene in story: I like when the girls are in the haunted house, acting silly, but when things turn frightful, they scream for their lives.

Opinion about the main character: Aubrey like her sister, should've just left everything alone and not go into the house. She was asking for it.
