The Ma and Pa Kettle films end with some matchmaking. Sally Flemming (Talbot) is a socialite who they are trying to fix up with Brad Johnson (Smith), a local lumberman. A subplot involves crooked loggers trying to get the best of the family. Parker Fennelly was the latest and last Pa.

This is the last in the series of Ma and Pa Kettle films, based on characters from the 1947 film “The Egg and I.” The series was exceedingly popular and reportedly helped the studio pay for many of its “A” list productions.
