Thank you Gilly for telling me about Elizabeth and her excellent advise. I am very pleased to report that my book arrived today. I sent an e-mail with a 7 day deadline to Cory & Dara and much to my dismay the deadline passed so I sent a further 3 day extension as suggested by Elizabeth and the very next day got an e-mail back saying my book was on it's way. It arrived at my house in England just 6 days later, what a relief as before this site and the help from Elizabeth I thought I'd lost my money. Elizabeth is quite simply a star. Cayla in reading your post I notice you say the book was about 5 or 6 months late in publishing. I could not remember from the first letter I received from Cory if he included a date when the book would be published. I have been assumming Dara had not written the book when I received Cory's e-mail saying lets do this again, I sure wish I had saved that letter. I only saved my confirmation letter from him saying I had paid for it. I would love to be able to reread that letter now.

kati gallarini, The short version of what is going on is this: Dara self published a book which she sold on her website. We had to pay in advance. The book was about 6 months or more late getting published. Most copies were ordered around feb-may 2005. They shipped out a few books in feb 2006. The rest of us had to fight and threaten to get our books. As you can tell from this site, there are still many who have not been that lucky (although the quality of the book has me wondering if those of us who got it are the unlucky ones). Basically none of us are sure what is going on, but as you can tell, there is a lot of speculation as to why they are defrauding Dara's loyal fans. Hi Michele,
Try sending him an email from another account. I do know that some people had problems sending email to his account every once in a while. They switched to another email server like one of the frees ones, and it sent okay. His email account was still working as of yesterday because he sent someone a tracking number. She let me know at the complaints line.

Did you try to resend the message Michelle to make sure that there was no clich the first time? I certainly hope they have not shut down the e-mail address. They still have the same e-mail address up at the web site for taking orders. That has not changed yet anyway. I wonder if they will take the site down next? As it has been said before the site has been all but abandoned by Dara as she is not really updating the site and has closed the guestbook down completely so that you cannot post a complaint their either about not receiving your book(s). I finally got mine but it took 20 months from the time I paid for it on Feb. 13, 2005. To me there is no excuse for that kind of delay in shipping when the book was printed in November of 2005.

I am recently returned to the cyber community, and was looking for any sites that may give info on Ms. Joy. This is the first I have found that has current postings. I am curious as to the postings I have read and wonder if any of you would please elaborate on the issue of not receiving a copy of a book?

I hope they aren't allowed to get away with this. It is just sad that people can rip other people off without a thought.

I just tried to e-mail Cory again and mail was returned that the name was not in use. Guess he finally got tired of all the "customer's" asking questions. I still can't believe that they could take advantage of loyal fans like this.

I just finished reading all the other emails...guess I should have done that first. However, I am able to go back only so far on the posts and would like to know if anyone can tell me the meathod used to actually GET the book.
