Diana Marcellas Message Board

Elaine posts on 2/11/2007 9:34:34 AM I love these books. I just finished reading them for the third time. Now I want the rest of the story. Please please please find another publisher. I won't give up hope to hear the story of Brierly continue.
Andrea posts on 2/3/2007 4:30:46 PM I am upset too but am waiting excitedly for the 4th book! I BELEIVE! Thank you Diana (Paula) I can't say enough about how much I have enjoyed this series so far. (My first post was rejected - because I wrote too much!).
Nicole posts on 1/28/2007 1:44:50 AM Well.. I'm upset. I remember waiting 1 year for the paperback of the third book to come out, I was so excited. I was looking on this message board.. and it made me cry! I think everyone on here wishes you luck and we all want to read your next book! I call a boycott on TOR.

Jane posts on 1/10/2007 5:41:14 PM Hi Diana (Paula), I am an avid reader of fantasy, and I cannot believe TOR didn't have the foresight to keep you. Developing an audience for this genre is not easy but once we are hooked, we are loyal. I hope someone else publishes you soon and you have from what I have read here, a loyal following who will buy the books. Eat that TOR!
Melissa posts on 1/1/2007 4:28:05 PM I don't see any new info, just that her publisher dropped her books...
Janette posts on 12/31/2006 8:44:52 PM Hi. I loved all three books and am eagerly awaiting the next book, so I guess my question is...when is it coming? It would be a shame to loose a great author! Please, if anyone has information about a next book, please let me know. Thanks Janette
Melissa posts on 12/22/2006 9:29:15 AM Diana, As I was searching online today to find when book four would be released I stumbled across this forum... I was sad to read that TOR dropped you mid series. How dreadful! They don't know what they are missing out on. I borrowed your first two books from the library and when I discovered that the 3rd was not available there yet I ran to the book store and picked up a copy of #3 for myself. I am so excited about this series since it is rare to find a good scifi fantasy book that 1.) is written by a woman 2.)has a female main character and 3.) is an amazing read. As a Wiccan I also loved this book for the positive image of witchcraft that is portrays. A beautiful story. I am waiting eagerly for the release of the new book. Have you thought about making a website? This might help to get info out about this book to readers and publishers as well. I would love an email list or something where I could get updates on the status of your series. Best of luck to you, you are a great writer.
tzeb posts on 12/5/2006 11:49:53 PM I am truely heart broken. I bought mother ocean on a whim and could not put it down after the second chapter. Unlike most of the other readers on this posting, I am not a big reader. Never was andprobably never will be. I finished the three books in three months, keeping in minde that I have three kids three and under. I do love the way you are able to keep track of all parts of the story and the language that you have inorporated as well. I will be waiting for the fourth book an I know it will come. Thank you for your imagination.
Jami G posts on 11/17/2006 9:41:50 PM How could they drop the Brierly books? I haven't been this excited about a series since I was in 6th grade and stumbled upon Pern through the Menolly books. Can't we do something? So many horrible books out there and when something comes along that is beautiful and makes you care about the characters for once suddenly its all about the bottom line. Please, Please don't give up!
Dr K posts on 10/20/2006 7:31:45 PM Man was i shocked to come on here and see that there is not going to be a publication of the 4th book. I saw the first one in the store last week and somehow got hooked. I finished the 3rd book less than a week later. I would definitely encourage you to keep trying to get it published.
