Ashley, she wrote about it awhile ago, when she had that open forum for questions. And though she might get more money, she shouldn't, and probably won't, write another one. I personally thought things were tied up pretty well, and if she keeps writing about Gemma, people will get annoyed, like they do when they make Blockbuster Number 17. There can be too much of a good thing.

I'm pretty sure she's done with the series. She can't keep writing about Gemma forever, and as many books as she writes, you will always want another one. Most things were tied up pretty well with the last book, even if Kartik is dead, and she purposely left a lot open to interpretation. Maybe instead of talking about a fourth book, you should talk about what YOU think happened to all the characters and the Realms.

ok i KNOW we are all dying for a fourth book, especially because of Kartik. we all want him back. believe me, i cried for a long time, but i just read what Libba Bray had to say about his death, and it really makes sense. at the end of the second book, i think his character became really weak. he was still weak at the beginning of the third, but he came around toward the end. if you read what she has to say about his death, it really makes sense, and it was neccessary. heartbreaking but part of life. death is part of life. read it on her LJ and you might have better insight on WHY.

I think that she would make a lot of money if she created a fourth book. It is like a win, win situation. We would get another fabulous book and she would get more money! What do you think?

who cares if it takes the characters too far from their original settings and personalities ?! a new book would tie everything together.
not trying to be rude, but why wouldnt she want to continue the AGATB series ?

You guys, I'm pretty sure that there's not going to be another GTB book. I don't thin Sanjay would work because no one really takes him seriously and that would ruin the credibility of the film. Libba Bray IS writing another book called Going Bovine, which has nothing to do with Gemma.

I think sanjaya is too skrawny. I think Kartik needs to be strong. I actually know a guy who I always imagined as kartik while I was reading the book. He is a real hottie, he is 18. He is from the Domminican Republic so he is dark too and he has dark curly hair which is to die for. However he doesn't speak very good english which would be a problem for casting. But I did enjoy imagining him as Kartik as I was reading. I don't think anyone skrawny should be cast as Kartik. Kartik needs to have some muscle, and he shouldn't be some extra smooth pretty boy because Kartik was the complete opposite. Casting of Kartik will make or break the whole movie for me.

At first I felt like the last book wasn't really sufficient to wrap everything up, but after re-reading it and trying to come up with some of the answers myself, I thought it was pretty complete. I think that another book would remove the characters too far from their original settings and personalities.
