Ash posts on 3/21/2005 9:17:58 AM I am doing a high school report on your book "Stepping on the Cracks". I researched and could not find out what influenced you to write this book. I was wondering was there any other awards you recieved besides the "Scott O'Dell Award" for this book. I really need some help.

Krista posts a message on 2/27/2005 11:28:29 AM Thanks for your reply. I'm almost finished her new book The Old Willis Place. It's a great story. It is told from an interesting point of view. I actually live in Columbia, MD where Mary Downing Hahn lives, so in April I'll get to listen to her talk at the library and hopefully get her to sign my book.

Taylor posts a message on 2/22/2005 1:49:41 PM Well... I picked up my first book by her when I was 7. It was Wait till Helen Comes. I thought that the book was execellent. So I read all the other books in the library that they had by her. The reason I love her books so much is because she writes with so much passion. When you read Hahn's book you feel as if your part of her story that she is telling. Also she doesn't beat around the bush for chapters she gets right to the story and keeps you hook until the last page. Then you want to read more. I havent read all her books but I have seven more to go I just have to find them.
