Hunter posts on 12/3/2010 8:58:59 PM Dear Mrs.Weyn, My name is Hunter.I am 10 years old and I am in 5th grade. I have recently read your book, Distant Waves.I found it truly heartbreaking. Will you please write a sequel? I can't wait to read about Jane and Thad's wedding. Also, would you explain why Amelis said she was Emma at the end? Thank you! Please write back,Hunter
Avid Reader posts on 11/27/2010 2:27:44 PM Dear Suzanne, I know it's not up to you, but PLEASE write a sequel to Distant Waves! I just finished reading it and I love it so much! I feel like I personally know the characters in the book. In fact, I connect with them so well, I wish that i could actually BE Jane. Oh, I wake up in the morning half expecting all of them to be standing right in front of me! But when I finally realize they are just fictional characters it dearly upsets me. I'm going to tell everyone I know that they just HAVE to read this book. Please, if it does come out I will be sure to be the first of my friends to buy it! I'm sorry if I've wasted your time, but if you did read this, thank you very much!
Sydney posts on 11/16/2010 8:00:35 PM Hi! I LOVE your books! My favorite book is Distant Waves! I think it is AWESOME! I read that your publishers are thinking about a sequel. Please do all you can to encourage them to go through with it! I really want you to write one. I would definitely read it! Please, please, please write a sequel. Also, a movie would be cool to. Keep on being the amazing writer you are!
suzanne posts on 11/8/2010 1:16:22 PM Hey Friends Hope you're all well. Gaellle, I don't know how translations work. The book is already in German. That is the only translation I know of. I think you have to contact the foreign rights department at Scholastic. Their main number is 1-212-343-6100. I would love to get a French translation going. PS: I was in Belgium the May before last. What a beautiful country. Kaitlyn, I was just discussing that with my agent. We're trying. Aisha: I have no ARCS. Sorry. Best of luck to all of you and thanks for reading and writing.
Anonymous posts on 10/19/2010 6:20:34 PM Hi! I finished reading Distant waves and I think it is great! Please write a sequel. Try to make Scholastic let you. Or can you go to another publisher? Please! I really want a sequel!
Gaelle posts on 10/18/2010 11:44:42 AM Dear Suzanne Weyn, My name is Gaelle Guilleaume and I send you this mail from Belgium where I study translation. For my last year, I have to translate a book into French and I discovered your book "The Bar Code Tatoo". I loved it and I really would like to translate it. I think I can make a very good translation, because I really enjoyed the story and I love your writing. Therefore, I will do my best. In fact, I will have to present my translation in june 2012, but I have to choose a book now and as I told you, I loved your book. But, I cannot translate a book already translated in French. Therefore I would like to know if it is being translated or will be translated in the near future. If you could tell me that it will not be translated in two years, that would be so wonderful. I left you my email address so that you can answer me if you want. I look forward to your reply, Gaelle Guilleaume
