Carly Madden posts on 6/2/2010 4:38:37 PM Hi Suzanne! I just finished reading "Distant Waves," and thought it was amazing! It is the best book I have ever read in my life! I heard there might be a sequel to the book but your publisher may not let you. I would love it if there was a sequel to "Distant Waves"! I hope that your publisher will see how many fans you have that would love to read a sequel to "Distant Waves", even if it is about the war! I would definitely read it! "Distant Waves" was so good, that I think it should be made into a movie! Thanks for taking the time to read this!:)
M posts on 6/2/2010 10:51:40 AM I just finished your book 'Distant Waves'. I love it! I read one of your posts and it says that your publisher ,or something, says that since the sequel would be during World War I, that no one would be interested. I would just like to let you know, I'd love to read a sequel you have written and I do not mind at all that it is during the war. Please let your publisher(?) know that you ahve many a fans who would be very dissapointed if you are not allowed to write a sequel. Even if they say no can't you maybe find a new publisher to publish a sequel for you?? Thanks for reading this and good luck with your writing! :)

Rylee posts on 5/27/2010 6:47:44 PM Hi Suzanne! You book, Distant Waves, is one I will never forget. I've been very interested in Titanic, and when I saw this book, I knew I'd enjoy it. I bought this book at my school's book fair, and lost it, unfortunately. When I found it in my basement, I wanted to read it, and in two days, I had finished it; cover to cover. This book is, and always will be my favorite. I would love for you to make a sequel, perhaps about Jane and Thad's marriage, and future. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable book, Suzanne! -Rylee
Mary Lemmenes posts on 5/27/2010 4:44:31 PM I was so hoping you would be making a sequel of Barcode Tatoo and Barcode Rebellion. Excellent read for both adults and young teens. They have lead to many conversations of whether it would be possible to do these things to people. I work with young teens and it is interesting to hear what they think about the future.
MaryMargaret posts on 5/23/2010 6:47:35 PM My 8 yr old daughter is working on her writing skills and has drafted a letter to you. I would like to mail it to you, but can't seem to find an address. Would I send it directly to Scholastic? Would they forward that to you? If not, what other options do we have. Thank you.
Katrina posts on 5/20/2010 11:48:38 PM hey Suzanne why don't you show them your blog. They will definintly know how many people loved the book distant waves then.
Suzanne posts on 5/19/2010 9:37:38 AM Hi Everyone, Thanks for writing. Sorry Donna, I addressed you as Robin in the last message I posted. See the address I posted. It's the best way to reach me by snail mail. I agree, Robin. I can see Reincarnation on stage, in a film, or even as a TV show. For those of you sad about no sequel, see the address I posted for Scholastic below. Write and tell them how much you want a sequel. Write Request for Distant Waves Sequel on the envelope. Maybe you can change their minds. Smiles and hugs to you all.
loy posts on 5/18/2010 8:03:41 PM I love you i am 10 and i love your book Distant waves please make a sequel
Suzanne posts on 5/13/2010 6:32:26 PM Don't be heartbroken, Katrina. I wanted to write the sequel but the publisher thought that readers wouldn't be interested in a book set during World War 1, which is where the first book ends. I wanted to write it but that's how it goes. We could write it together here on this blog. Let me know what you think will happen. Robin, your class can reach me at Suzanne Weyn, c/o Scholastic Inc. Scholastic Hardcover, 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012.
