Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Swing Your Lady

Based on a play by Kenyon Nicholson and Charles Robinson, Swing Your Lady stars Humphrey Bogart as wrestling promoter Ed Hatch. He's on tour in the Ozarks to promote his not so intelligent wrestler Joe "Hercules" Skopapoulos. While down there, Hatch tries to set up a match with the locals but it doesn't pan out. While driving his car on a dirt road his wheels get stuck in the mud. Some kids run over and he asks for help. He thinks there might be some men in the barn who can help him out. But it's really a blacksmith and it's a big, strong woman by the name of Sadie Horn (Loise Farenza) comes suantering out. She picks Hatcher's car right out of the mud, shocking him in the process. Not only does Hatcher find a wrestler for Skopapoulos, but he also falls in love with Sadie.
