posts on 6/28/2006 12:28:37 PM I also am in the "pipline" awaiting my next flirtation with Amanda. I miss her very much. It seems very typical of the American media to thwart a modern American hero of either sex. Please find a new publisher! Mark Pyle. editor in chief - Chronicle of Aviation
posts on 6/10/2006 12:28:04 PM Dear Readers I just stumbled on this site and I figured I'd better clarify the situation to some of my understandably impatient fans. Don't blame me! Blame the Publishers! I've been writing like a house afire but for a variety of reasons that I don't even understand, it's just not getting out there. The new Amanda Garrett, Phantom Force, is done and is in print in Germany and Japan but G.P Putnam didn;t pick it up in the states and we're hunting for a new publisher. I hope to get word on that from my agent shortly. There ia also another major development in the Amanda Garrett series that I can't talk about at all yet but that might turn out to be pretty big. Two new Kevin Pulaski road mysteries are finished but we are involved in a protracted screaming match with a new potential publisher over page numbers. In the meantime Kevin & Co. are appearing regularly in short-story format in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine. My next major book was supposed to be The Arctic Event, an entry in Robert Ludlum's Covert One series. It was supposed to be released by Warner Books this August. As far as I know it still will be released in the UK at about that time but Warner has pushed back the US release 'till 2008! (No, I don't have a single frickin' clue as to why yet. I'm talking to my agent next week about that too.) in the meantime I've got a couple of other new projects on the boards as well. Hang in there, gang. I'm still in the game and I'm still pitchin'.
posts on 5/27/2006 7:40:05 PM I have just found James H Cobb's Amanda Garrett series. Love them. Great having female action heroine. While looking for websites to see if there was a next book, this ia the only one which mentions Phantom Force. Why I wonder was it published in other languages first! The other news is a book The Arctic Event with Robert Ludlum out soon. I also love David Weber's space ship captain Honor Harrington.

Erik posts on 3/1/2006 6:02:17 PM James finally got a round to reading his email!! He's getting a new book launch/written, couldn't say what because of contract negotiations. If all goes well we should see it in August. As for Phantom Force the next Amanda Lee Garrett novel...its published if you read German or Japanese. Should be out in English once contract negotiations have been completed. James also is aware of his need for a website and its on the "roundtoit" list... Well... that was a nice little note from James... Didn't post it... basically summerized it for you... I don't know about you but I'm in need of some new reading material and I'm ready to to read!

Erik posts on 12/5/2005 11:47:48 AM I've sent a number of emails in the past to Mr. Cobb. But since Chibola came out he hasn't replied once when I ask for updates... His email address is in the back of his books... Drop him a note maybe he just needs encouragement!
Joe Maxwell posts on 11/18/2005 7:27:45 PM I am also awaiting the next book in the Amanda Garrett series.
