James H. Cobb Message Board

KATHY posts on 10/2/2010 6:19:24 PM I would like to know when "The Infinity Affair" will be released. I am eagerly awaiting to read this book. I love James H Cobb books Please advise
Friederike posts on 8/1/2010 2:33:45 PM I am surprised about the inquiries for the fifth Amanda Garret book. In Germany it appeared already in 2005. What is now five years ago. And of course since then I wait anxiously whether and when there will be a continuation. Today I have seen videos of the Piasecki Speed Hawk which are mentioned in the fifth book. Now I can fancy the descriptions a little better, but in my imagination the Speed Cobra is a little bit cooler than the reality. Greetings from Germany
Don J. posts on 7/24/2010 6:13:40 PM Just finished Arctic Event. Loved the book but was dismayed by the cover picture. Having flown the B29/Tu4 for over 600 hours I'm somewhat familiar with the aircraft. The wreckage shown is most certainly NOT a B29/Tu4, which wouldn't have a row of windows, but a transport such as a DC6 or Russian equivalent. The text refers to figures passing in front of light emanating from the windows which could only be from the nose/cockpit or the blister behind the wing, not the area occupied by the team. Mr. Cobb, better research please.

Mike posts on 4/23/2010 5:12:52 PM When will the next Amanda Garrett book be published
Mr K posts on 4/1/2010 11:39:52 AM When will we see a new Amanda Garret book?!? The newest book has already been published in German. Where's the English version!?
Andrew Wiggin posts on 3/8/2010 10:46:31 AM Does anyone know when Infinity Affair is suppose to come out?? Several sites I went to said it was published first week of January. Cept I can't seem to find it anywhere to buy or order. =/
Ivan Samuels posts on 1/12/2010 10:17:23 AM The Arctic Event. Good reading but surprised that with Cobb's background he errs in calling a Coast Guard cutter (ice breaker) a "USS" instead of "USCGC". Designation of USS (United States Ship) is for U.S. Navy vessels.
Dawn posts on 11/14/2009 11:20:20 PM I'm wondering if James Cobb has considered self-publishing on the Kindle? I believe he could set the price (I'd be willing to pay the equivalent of "normal" fees - I'm sure others would as well). I don't think self-publication would preclude an eventual print run either. Just a thought. Has this already been discussed?
Jimmy Duggan posts on 11/7/2009 10:05:36 AM the fifth book was published in German, I just found it after doing a little digging. its for sale on amazon. to bad i can't read german. this is the blurb after i ran it through a translator: The fifth volume of the military thriller series with Captain Amanda Garrett is about a coup attempt in Indonesia's island state, which could lead to a bloody and brutal ethnic conflict. Amanda Garrett and Sea Fighters are the last hope of thousands of innocents. The book is called Duell in fremden Gewässern (Duel in Foreign Waters). Put that german title into amazon's search and it will come up. or you can put it in for the full german listing.
Sandra Connel posts on 7/15/2009 5:07:13 AM What's the current status with the 5th Amanda Garret book Phantom Force? I heard it's been published in German already?
