Jo posts on 4/16/2007 6:07:21 PM Hi Jemimah, 'Sarah's Child' was available at KMart in Caboolture, Queensland, a couple of weeks ago,if that's any help. I didn't buy it, because I read a copy from the library, and it wasn't my cup of tea. I like Howard's feisty female characters, the ones that give the alpha males something to think about. I found Rome too harsh, and Sarah too wimpy, and was actually wanting her to end up with Max instead of Rome. However I know others who give it rave reviews. It depends on what you like, I guess. I like her romantic suspense much more than the angsty 'I love him but he doesn't love me until the very end' sort of stories, especially when the heroine is so understanding and lets the guy get away with everything. Then again, I let my cat get away with everything, so who am I to talk?
Jemimah posts on 4/15/2007 11:54:45 PM Hi can anyone tell me about Sarah's Child? I've been trying to get the book for months. Is it worth the wait?

Jo posts on 4/12/2007 6:58:57 PM Hi Vickli and Jemimah, re Howard's Mackenzies, she has just written about Wolf and Joe, Zane, Maris and Chance. She didn't write about the other brothers, although one of them is married to the daughter of the girl Joe took to the dance as a teenager. Howard also refused to write about Nic, the only girl gtandaughter, because she said it would make Wolf and Mary either too old or dead, and she couldn't bear that. Elizabeth Lowell did the same thing with her fabulous Donovan series. She left the twins up in the air, much to the frustration of the Donovan fans. Also Kay Hooper, who left her thief series one book short. Maybe the authors just get tired of series. Pity the fans don't!
Jemimah posts on 4/11/2007 9:39:01 PM Hi Vicki, She has also written "A Game of Chance" which is written about Chance McKenzie. I'm not sure if there are any others.
Vicki Scherer posts on 4/11/2007 9:32:22 PM Does anyone know if Linda has written amy more mackenzie family stories other than Wolf, Joe, Zane and Maris? There are a couple of other kids left. Where are their stories?
Jemimah posts on 4/10/2007 7:49:15 PM Linalin I completely agree! I think that you would really enjoy reading Judith Gould she has a great mix and blend of characters. Here= writing depicts many social contrasts from many countries from the 1800's through to the present. I hope that this has been insightful.
linalin posts on 4/6/2007 6:41:18 PM I think there should be romances which defy our own society, something racy, I have read many books, but never there was a story of a mixed couple for Harlequin or Silhouette, what do you guys think? only recently did I, finally, see a story about a mixed couple, a chinese lady and a white male. anybody, please give me an insight of their feelings.
Jemimah posts on 4/3/2007 9:28:04 PM Hi Jo, Thanks for your help I will certainly give it ago. I think I should be able to work out what come after the dot...hahaha.
Jo posts on 4/3/2007 8:01:12 PM Hi Jemimah, I live in Oz as well, and have collected most of Howard's books. All the in-print ones you can order through a reputable bookseller, they should be able to access a list of in print books there and then. It can take time for them to come in, but it's worth the wait, especially for her middle ones, like Mr Perfect, Dream Man, etc. I found most of her out of print books by haunting secondhand bookshops. It's a pity I can't mention websites here, or you could try Oz-based online booksellers like fishpond, you can guess what to put after the dot, they have a large number of her books, or secondhand ones like biblioz, again guess what to add. To Stacey, I also love the character of Blair, even though the books are first person. I just thought that Wyatt should have been punished a little more, in Drop Dead Gorgeous, or at least felt a little guiltier, after he blamed Blair for everything. The guy laughed, for heaven's sake!
