Linda Howard Message Board

Joy posts on 12/10/2006 9:20:33 PM Janet, thanks so much for recommending Allison Brennan. I picked up "The Prey" yesterday at B&N and had to go back today for her other 2 books. I couldn't put it down. Everything you want in a good romantic suspense book, she delivers. I highly recommend her books and am very happy she has more coming out next month. Can't wait to start the other 2 books I bought today!

Brandi posts on 12/9/2006 11:39:58 PM Hi. I'm new to this board and I was wondering could someone help me. I was told that the Cutting Edge by Linda Howard was part of series and I can't find out anything about it. It's driving me crazy.

Skye posts on 12/8/2006 6:00:30 PM Found a new author that you should try. Cindy Gerard. Action, suspense and romance. Check out her website. I've read three of her books and they are pretty good.
Angela posts on 12/8/2006 6:00:06 AM I just picked up Drop Dead Gorgeous at the store, and it's really cute. I can't wait to see who is trying to kill Blair this time.
Joy in California posts on 12/5/2006 10:29:45 PM md posts on 12/1/2006 11:04:28 PM This one is like her old style of writing. Joy in California adds: It's closer to her old style. This one is a keeper, but there's still something missing.
Laura posts on 12/5/2006 4:26:41 PM Hi all If you like mystery and a little taboo romance I'd recommend Julia Spencer Fleming. I picked up her first book last week at a used book sale, went out and bought the rest to read over the weekend. Couldn't put them down, Can't WAIT for the next! in order - In the Bleak Midwinter, Fountain Filled With Blood, Out of the Deep I Cry, To Darkness & to Death, and Mortal Flesh. Great characters you feel for, plot twists, action, soul mates - she has it all.
Luisa posts on 12/5/2006 10:07:51 AM Jo, if you like LH, Judith McNaught and Nora Roberts, I am sure you will like JR Ward and Cherry Adair. JR Ward has these 3 books, Dark Lover, Lover Eternal and Lover Awakened that are wonderful, you will love them.
Janet posts on 12/5/2006 10:05:29 AM Jo, I, like you, love Nora Roberts and Linda Howard. I started out reading everything they wrote, then needed new authors. For romantic suspense, try Allison Brennan and Karen Rose. Allison Brennan is new, has only 3 books (a trilogy) out so far, but they are really, really good. Her new trilogy comes out in Jan. or Feb. For romantic suspense with lots of humor, try Marianne Stillings. She is also new and has become and instant favorite of mine. If you like Judith McNaught, you should definitely try Lorraine Heath, one of my all time favorites. Enjoy!
Jenny posts on 12/5/2006 10:01:20 AM Jo, I am new to this too but the girls on this site recommended J.R. Ward vampire series and it is awesome! I am not into vampires so I was very hesitant but it sounds (from the authors you mentioned) that you might like these. Go to JRWard website and check it out. The 4th book will be out in March, I believe. Give it a try!
