The Jump has been made into a tv film. Some of the others are supposed to be done but nothing yet! Havent seen either but they are not supposed to be too bad though The Jump has been changed quite a lot apparently. Has anyone else seen it to comment?

I've just finished reading the take and thought it was really good as all of Martina's books are. Ive read Dangerous Lady and Maura's Game and managed to get the DVD of Dangerous lady not what i thought it would be but hey, anyway i am just wondering if any of Martina's other books have been made into film's? If so what ones as i would love to see these.
Many Thanks
Ria

Martina Cole is my all time favorite author and I have read most of her books several times. Close was a big disappointment - it just did not have the depth that eg Two Women and Faceless had. There were too many long descriptions about minor characters ( and their homes) which did not have much to do with the main characters. At times the story jumped several years and the plot was weak. Her last three books ie. The Take The graft and Close were not as good as her early books. I hope she is not losing momentum.

As previously discussed on this forum, ice cream is a wanna be villain who's a bit of a lemon! Any further interpretations ladies/gents?

It seems to be of common opinion that Close is really not very good. Lets just hope that the next one has all the substance, depth and sheer quality that Two Women has!! Fingers crossed Martina hasn't run out of steam, I really don't know what I''d read if Martina stopped bringing out such amazing books!!

I have at last finished Close and I had worked out what Lance had done from about chapter 3. Poor ending as well, still roll on the next book.
On the flycovers they keep saying There are more of Martina's books in production for TV series / films I have seen the Jump and Dangerous Lady (in fact I have them both on DVD) Does any one know however when these next stories will be shown on TV etc.
Dave
