Martina Cole Message Board

sara posts on 4/23/2008 1:05:47 PM I have to say, I think that I'm in the minority - for sure, the book was quite repetative, and lol @ Meg for saying that we kinda got that Danny Boy was a hard man and a nutter! I did have to skim over those parts, but I still enjoyed the story. I still "cared for the characters" as they say. But I do hope she doesn't make the same mistake for the next book....

meg posts on 1/14/2008 2:50:09 PM i have just read faces and was so disapointted!! it was tedious and very repetitive i think we kind of gathered by the 10th chapter that he is a hard man and a complete nutter no need to say it 104 times jesus, hope the next one is better waited all year for it and felt let down sorry martina:(
Elaine posts on 11/15/2007 3:49:57 AM Faces was just soooo tedious. Way too many words!! I skimmed most of it and only finished it to see how Danny Boy was done away with. Very repetitive and basically very boring.
jane bedford posts on 11/11/2007 6:47:38 PM have read Martina's last book faces was a lot better than the graft but couldn't help but notice a lot of repetition in this one. how many times did we need to be told what he thought of his dad
Jenny posts on 11/8/2007 3:20:38 AM Ive got it but not read it yet which is not like me but they are not the same gripping stories that they used to be. A lot of it is 'read that before in the last 4 books'! I will get round to it soon and let you know what I think. The only one I really didnt like so far was The Graft. I thought that one was really poor.
