Robert Segarra Message Board

Narmeen posts on 8/1/2012 6:18:02 PM I thought Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra was an excellent book, though I don't know that I would categorize it as strictly romance. I found lots of mainstream elements in this very amazing book - about people - when you really get down to it.
Lynda posts on 7/31/2012 5:49:21 PM Still waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra was a constant companion at night on a cruise trip with me, and I have to say that it was the nights with this book, under the stars at sea, that made this trip as enchanting as it was. I would do it again in a heartbeat, with this book of course!
Maggie posts on 7/31/2012 5:45:15 PM I almost could not believe my eyes when I started reading this book and the title character, a female, never got pushed aside in favor of a male character. I could not believe that Jane stayed the main character of significance till the very end of Still Waiting For The Sun. Author, Robert Segarra, took a huge chance when he did that, but I think hos courage paid off. I think this book stands out as one of the few like this.

Holly posts on 7/30/2012 6:16:31 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra is a work of poetry, wrapped around a really touching romantic story. The words flow like a poem, and in my eyes this sets it apart from so many other books in a similar vein.
Debra posts on 7/30/2012 6:12:11 PM If it were up to me, I'd require all young women to read Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. It's the first book I've read that teaches women that they don't have to settle for anything in this life....they can indeed have it all.
Maren posts on 7/29/2012 6:47:28 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra was one of those sleeper books that you get as a gift and never think are going to be any good, but then they end up surprising you to no end. That was the experience for me. I got it thinking it was going straight to thr recycling bin. Instead, this one is headed for my permanent collection, among the classics.
Roslyn posts on 7/29/2012 2:31:01 PM I've read Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra several times now, and each and every time I can feel myself being transported to a different place and a different time where all that seems to matter is that positivity rules the day - and I could do with a little of that in my real every day life. Who couldn't?
Salli Jameson posts on 7/28/2012 8:17:22 PM What a clever and totally positive novel Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra is! Without trying to be, and without pretentions, this book soon becomes our constant companion and the uardstick by which we should model our lives. If only we could live up to this ideal....maybe not today, but maybe someday we will.
Alison posts on 7/28/2012 8:10:15 PM Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra is an amazing example of how to write the great American novel. It has a perfect balance of everything that goes into a book for the masses without selling out, and that is some feat in my eyes...
Jill posts on 7/27/2012 6:11:10 PM Actually, I thought it showed alot of courage for Robert Segarra to write a book like Still Waiting For The Sun. It broke the formula for most romantic novels and that is a difficult thing to do successfully....kudos to this author.
